Canadian: hostile bid for Patrik Laine?

After unsuccessfully filing a hostile offer for Sebastian Aho’s services and failed in his attempt to convince Brayden Point, could managing director Marc Bergevin turn to Winnipeg’s Winnipeg Patrik Laine?

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, several teams, including the Canadiens and the New York Islanders, would have considered the possibility of filing a hostile bid for Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner. If the Islanders still seem serious in their efforts, the Montreal club would have instead decided to focus on the issue Laine, also self-player with compensation.

The Canadian can not make a hostile offer until the Hurricanes formalize the signing of the Aho contract. The Carolina has already announced that it equaled the hostile offer filed by the Canadian, but it has until next Monday to formalize the whole.

Various media have also reported that Brayden Point rejected a hostile offer of the Canadian before it falls back on Aho.
